Living in the present has always been a struggle for me. Sometimes I feel that it is even more of a struggle in this social media age we are living in. I find myself struggling daily with focusing on the here and now while the lure of Facebook and Instagram have me constantly wanting to check in to see what others are doing/wearing/eating/experiencing.
As I slope closer to 40, I’ve realized that one way for me personally to live in the present is in the act of doing. Read more books instead of reading the latest information online; write down my own thoughts and musings instead of consuming a piece of content online; work towards goals that make me proud instead of watching as others accomplish their greatest desires.
In this vein meganbetsch.com is born! My hope is that I can offer you a wide variety of topics on fashion, motherhood, and life. That you can read my musings in those moments in between layovers or lazing; motherhood or board meetings; cooking or running errands.
What helps you to live in the present?
Lately Loved.
- This white eyelet dress caught my eye. It’s a steal at under $35.
- Spring is coming and this seems like not only an essential item but something the rascals would love for those rainy days ahead.
- There is just something about a straw bag that immediately makes me think warm weather is near.
- What do we think of the flare jeans trend? This pair has over 400 positive reviews.
- Such a sweet idea to write letters to your little rascals and keep them together in a notebook. Love the timeless look of these notebooks.
